There are some amazing moments for sure... I had visited a lot of campfires just to listen to the stories... then I am riding toward a camp fire and hear "hey fella you want to sit a spell"... I get off my horse wondering what stories I will hear and blam blam blam... the guy starts shooting at me... it was a trap camp fire... It has happened a bunch since then, but that first time I was like "You got me Rockstar... you got me".
Also, first time going in Mexico... riding up the cliffs... song playing in the background... the desert unfolding in front of me... that was a magic moment in my gaming history

Also Grandpah... wondering what you thought of Landon Ricketts since he was obviously modeled on Lee Van Cleef... he is my favorite character in the game.... I am hoping they do a dlc episode with him as the main character like they did for GTA4. Maybe a prequel where he is a little younger and the West is still the Wild West

Also, first time going in Mexico... riding up the cliffs... song playing in the background... the desert unfolding in front of me... that was a magic moment in my gaming history I think one of my favorite moments like that was when I was riding through the desert, on my bronco of all things, and there was this chick askin if I could give her a lift. Bein the semi-good guy I was I hopped off to help her. She instantly shoved me out of the way and hopped on my horse laughing as she rode off...that obviously didn't fly. Needless to say, she got a slug in the back of the skull lol. As for the entrance to Mexico, quite possibly one of the greatest scenes in any game I've played. It was all so flawless. That song by the way is So Far Away by a guy named Jose Gonzalez. You should check out his other stuff, it's really good. You should also check out Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. That's the band I was tellin you to listen to the other day. Oh Lonely Grave, Waiting On My Deathbed, and Tale of the Runaways are some of their best songs, but they're all amazing.

By the way, I was thinking Oh Lonely Grave would be an awesome song to do in a video if you guys liked it. Let me know and I can send you the file if you can't find it!

Without a doubt Landon Ricketts is LVC...proper dry humour to boot. In a mission we had to ride out of Chuperosa to save someone from the firing squad...I was doing my usual fart arseing around and Ricketts pipes up..."maybe they'll postpone the execution til we get there" Young pups that tear about the joint miss stuff like that...so I tell myself

Yeah I am taking my time with single player... I spent a few days playing the role of unofficial Marshal of Thieves Landing.... patrolling the streets by day and playing poker and blackjack by night... just like Wild Bill Hitchcock in Abilene...
One other crazy thing that happened that window lickr reminded me of...
So I have had my horse stolen lots of times riding around in deserts of New Austin, and I have had lots of times where someone asked me to help their hanging friend, but one time this guy came and said they were about to hang his wife. Well, me being the 60% Marshal and 40% outlaw that I am couldnt stand for that... it is a woman after all. We go riding to the tree... my Schofield blazing away... I shoot the lady down and kill all those who were set on hanging her... she gets up and says "why thank you" and pulls me from my horse and rides away on my horse laughing. She was the ONLY horse thief to actually get away with my horse. Then I figured the guys I just shot were rightfully hanging a horse thief and I had been duped into killing those fine gentlemen for her... my only consolation was that they did manage to kill her husband

Ahhhhh THATS what I remember reading about in pre-release blurb, things "not always being what they seem" ....clever
There also appear to be a host of execution moves, up close, with a variety of weapons that I've yet to try...I sense a night out in Thieves ;D

I like hanging out in thieves for a number of reasons...
1. There is no law... so I AM THE LAW. 2. If you shoot someone you don't get a wanted level. 3. A lot of whores seem to need my assistance there 4. It is one of the few places in the game where you can play both poker and black jack. 5. You have a safe house there. 6. The NPC conversations there are usually more entertaining 7. You can escape to the woods and swamps outside if the town turns on you. 8. I love me some bacon and that is the only place I know that there are pigs
That being said... I think it would have been AWESOME if they made this game like Fable where you can pull a friend into your single player world. I would love to sit around playing poker and shooting the bull with you grandpah... oh well just a few weeks from 4 person coop at least.

I really wish they'd added co-op online. Before the game came out I thought you'd be able to play through the campaign with a friend, rob trains and banks with friends, play poker/black jack, and all that other good stuff. That's partially why I was kinda turned off to the multiplayer at first.

They've got the template and I do trust Rockstar to develop and improve the game because their track record is excellent...the Ballad of Gay Tony DLC was way better than GTA IV and set the worldwide standard for DLC

Thedam game just gets better and better...this came up as a screen prompt...I half remember it but I was busy not dying at the time Nick a stagecoach get up to speed and draw/aim your weapon and you've got an auto-piloted wagon of death...stick to the bigger trails is my advice and you can just squeeze a stick of dynamite over the doors of the saloon in Armadillo from the coach seat ;D I'm off on a Blackwater / Rathskeller journey of doom
