Well, the other day I hook up my 360 to my TV in my apartment and was dismayed as I had no video but sound...at first I figured my TV broke on me and I fiddled around with the video sockets(even stuck a small screw driver in there to see if there was something blocking it)and after I fiddled with it, my 360 worked fine, so I thought huh, must have fixed it. Then today, I hooked it up to my apartment complexes' HDTV in their clubhouse for tenants and I was more than dismayed to discover the video wasn't working on there as well(I had sound but no video)...I tried to see if I could fix it, but I couldn't get it to work...so unless the worse has happened and my 360 is completely broken now(which would suck cause it's out of warrenty), I think the most logical choice is that my video cable is screwed up(I have the one with HD and AV plugs and neither worked.)...so does anyone know if a replacement cord is cheap(in US dollars at least)...I'm hoping I can get it to work again somehow so I don't have to buy a whole new one...any advice/help?

The generic ones work fine... you can get them pretty cheap online.... you may even be able to get a cheap one at walmart

I don't know if I'd trust $3 on amazon. could be a used one that's just all faulty. then again, it's only 3 bucks.

Turns out it's not a problem with the cable, because I borrowed my friend's cable and tried it out on my 360, I had the same issue. Then just to make sure I used my cable on his 360, and it worked fine. So I have to get my console repaired. Luckily, there is a guy nearby Topeka, KS where I live who runs a console repair service and he will charge me $30(plus $10 in shipping)to fix a No Video problem...so unfortunately, I will not be on for at least a week or 2.
It seems I am having bad luck with electronics as a whole lately anyway...yesterday I was listening to my iPod Nano and the sound in the right earbud went out, so now I have to buy new earphones...

Well somewhat of some good news...I found a guy who lives closer than the other guy who runs his own console repair company(even has his own facebook page with reviews of his services and everything). He told me he will be coming through Topeka, KS on Saturday and will charge me $40 to fix it, and will have it back to me on Tuesday at the latest...so hopefully I'll be back on by next week...
Bad thing is this screwed up my whole plan for the month. I was gonna buy me a wireless adaptor for my 360, but my remaining money after I have to pay my rent & bills is going towards getting my baby fixed...

At least it's not new earbuds and not the ipod. I'm on my 3rd one cause they all keep breaking on me. My current one is dying. All the music randomly becomes a corrupt file and I have to restore everything to factory settings, then when I try adding music my itunes just freezes up.

Which iPod do you have? I have the iPod Nano 3rd Gen...I've had it since Christmas 2007. The only serious thing that happened to it is I left it in my KU Jayhawks hoodie when I was washing it(and not realizing it was still there)and the backlight on the screen was out for months, then it would come on and off every few weeks, but now it's working again...

I don't remember what generation ipod's I've had, but the first 2 were 30 gigs, which were both totally filled. Lost every bit of the music I had on there. Then this 80 gig I had over 11,000 songs on there, when that got messed up all that music was gone. I've had to redownload so many libraries it's not even funny. I'm done with apple. Once I get the money I'm getting a zune.
